No Shave November

“Let it Grow! Let it Grow!” It's that time of year again. You feel the chill in the air kissing your cheek. Marshmallows float atop hot chocolate in oversized mugs. The foam of pumpkin spice lattes hang from the well-groomed mustaches of manly men. It's “No-Shave November.”

Most of us have been affected in some way by cancer. Here at Schneider & Williams, we have seen our own family members survive life-threatening cancers of the skin, throat, and breast. Our very own Britt Williams' mother is only two years cancer-free after being diagnosed in September of 2013. Although they are lucky survivors of the disease that kills 22,000 people each day worldwide (WHO), the fight and the recovery were not easy.

As we start the month of November, so does the annual campaign known as “No-Shave November.” No-Shave November's mission is to not only raise funds for cancer research and treatment, but to educate the population about measures to help prevent cancer. For over five years, participants around the globe have put down their razors and foregone their hair appointments to join the fight against cancer. Each whisker grown allows us to embrace our hair, which many cancer patients lose during treatment.

In an effort to raise awareness and donations for cancer research, we have created a “No-Shave November” team and we would love for you to join us in this great cause! Click here to donate and become part of our team!

Whether you can grow a beard on your own or not, help raise awareness by bearding yourself and sharing your picture on your favorite social media platforms!
